Moving to 1Password

  • Had been using LastPass
  • Switching to 1Password
  • All TAC chairs and project chair should have received a 1Password invite

Transform the TAC repo into a site

  • No concerns raised with making this change
  • John will proceed

Demo LFX Chat/Matrix

  • Presented by Jordan Evans
  • How many members are using Slack?
    • Around 7,000 accounts
    • 300 - 400 active accounts
      • A per month period for tracking active accounts
  • What integrations are being used with Slack?
    • Github
  • Chat history is important and has been an issue with Slack
    • Like to keep 1 - 2 years of message retention
    • Looking at options to store older chat history
  • Will be able to create rooms for private messages
    • Invite multiple people to a room
  • Currently in a beta
    • Looking for input on what types of integrations are important to the OMP projects
  • Clients
    • iPhone and Andriod
    • Third party apps need to support SSO
  • Next steps
    • Onboarding some projects around May 1
    • Possible importing Slack history
    • Bridging of rooms from Slack and Matrix as a migration

Feilong project update

  • The project members agreed to change to a monthly hour-long meeting which will happen on the second Wednesday of each month

  • April 14 is the first meeting

  • Asked John to verify that the old meeting info in https://www.openmainframeproject.org/community/calendar has been properly removed

    • Started discussion about possible mentorship projects that could be proposed on behalf of Feilong

  • Each project area team needs to review the spreadsheet of applicants in their area in the Google Doc folder link above. Review the candidates, work with them to determine which candidate(s) you’d like to work with and on which project.
  • The Mentorship committee (of which every mentor is a member) will decide which projects we will sponsor and which candidates will become mentees.
  • All applicants need to be interviewed and rated before May 15th.
