Open Mainframe Project Service Desk: Mr. Metric announced the service desk feature and requested ay request are routed through this so they are kept track of properly.
COBOL Programming Course annual review: Ms. Srinivasan presented the COBOL Programming Course annual review. She shared they had committers from IBM, Broadcom, and Singapore Mgmt University. COBOL Programming Course has achieved and maintained a Core Infrastructure Initiative and has a Best Practices Gold Badge. Mr. Seay spoke a few words as a testament to the positive work that the project is doing.
Mr. Post motioned to renew the COBOL Programming Course for another year. Mr. Bostian seconded the motion and all members were in favor.
License Scanning Schedule for 2022: A brief summary of the license scan schedule was provided.
Reminders on Open Mainframe Summit: Planning is in forward progress for the summit and more information will be available in the weeks to follow.
TerseDecompress incubation renewal: No updates
Presentation on LFX Security: Mr. Bajapai provided members with a presentation of the LFX Security tool and its features. Mr. Seay mentioned working on the phone interviews, following up on the surveys.
Linux Distributions Working Group- At risk of losing the Alpine but it worked out and everything is okay now. Zorow- There are some licensing issues they are working through.
Ms. Joseph shared that Open Mainframe Project Education is getting ready for their mentorship programs this summer. Open Mainframe Project Mentorships- There are currently 11 programs up for applications. All mentorships have applicants despite the press release not having been sent publicly.
Mr. Mertic announced that the Open Mainframe TAC meetings are moving over to the meeting management platform and everyone should have received new invitations with personal links. If you have not received a new invitation, you should reach out as soon as possible so we may troubleshoot this.
