Notes

  • Open Mainframe Education Annual Review- Mr. Dahlberg presented a review on behalf of Lauren Valenti. He noted they met and presented in a March meeting and had about 50 attendees. They will also be at an August meeting and the OMP Summit. They have submitted a blog and continue to work towards gaining participation. They have a mentee selected for the Summer Mentorship session.

    The Open Mainframe Education Project team built a process of how to contribute and have been working with various groups..

    • Ms. Joseph provided an update on Software Discovery Tool project and said most of their time has been on reviewing the more than 70 applications received for their mentorship program.
    • Mentorships- most applicants ever, more than 450 and most diversified. Four from Africa, six from Asia. Ms. Joseph also noted the quality of applicants was very high.
